Title: Starter switch issue
Post by: neverendingninja on November 05, 2008, 06:51:41 PM
Well guys, tonight I decided to swap to some clubman handle bars...unsuccessfully, I might add. They don't fit over the triple clamp.

Anyhow, I put everything back together, and now the bike won't start. I checked all electrical connections inside the right hand switch gear, and everything seems fine, but I must be missing something. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening. I looked on the part fiche and it did not give me an exploded view...simply showed me the left and right hand switches.

Is there a small spring that fits inside the kill switch by any chance? It seems like something should be in there, but nothing is. Anyway, thanks in advance.

edit;

solved. missed the clutch side electrical connection.

did you take the cluch lever off its mounting bracket?
I that to put handguards on and found that there is a
small switch attached to it underneath it.  There is a tiny
plastic peg that flips the switch when you pull the cluch in
start.  good luck.
