Good Luck On Finding One
What would bellypand be worth BRAND NEW ? anyone know ? :dunno_white:
-Jay
Hey brooklyn,
Someone recently bought a brand new one for $99 on ebay.
Do you have one for sale?
What color is it?
Is it the stock Suzuki OEM part or an aftermarket one?
They were also made by Targa Accessories and others.
I'm interested if it's reasonable.
Thanks,
Trwhouse
I dont have any right now BUT found a place that does have them in stock .... waiting on their catalog ( NEW ) will let yall know if the price is right.
Jay aka Br0oKlyN
So brooklyn,
What kind of catalog are you talking about?
Who sells them?
What brand of chin fairing is it?

bremso fairing
not telling =)
not from the usa
Well Brooklyn,
I just don't get it.
Why would you do something like that?
Why would you find something cool and then figure you can keep it a secret and make money off everyone here? Is that your intention?
If you think we're all going to line up to buy them from you at some inflated ridiculous price, then you're probably wrong.
You come here to our site, post all over the board filling other people's posts with your used parts bike stuff -- which is often rusty (look at the photos -- instruments that you list as "very nice condition" with rust all around the edges of the mounting bracket and very faded gauge faces http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=102588020&albumID=2418464&imageID=36068965) and then you say you found some chin fairings but won't tell where they are sold?
That's ridiculous.
For you to be a new guy here on this site which we all love so much, that's not very friendly or helpful.
I don't understand that.
How do others feel about this?
By the way, several companies offer similar chin fairings in Europe:
Skidmarx

Another UK vendor who sells Skidmarx stuff:

i have one i could part with. first $100 +shipping gets it. no brackets, but i rigged some up from some parts i bought at home depot.
Hey there Mike,
Do you have pictures of the one you have?
Can I see them?
Is it an OEM part or one of the aftermarket fairings?
Thanks,
Trwhouse

Hey Trwhouse,
I said no hard feelings if you didn't want to buy my chin fairing, and that's true. But, dude, you could've at least PM-ed me back to tell me you were passing so another member could buy it. I was trying to be cool and fair about letting you have the right of refusal first. :thumb:
Anyhow, mine's been sold, but a quick search of eBay turned up this
aftermarket:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suzuki-GS500E-GS500-GS-500-E-Bellypan-Belly-Pan-Black_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35583QQihZ021QQitemZ310100377260QQtcZphoto
For those of you looking, good luck!
mine is a stocker. i spraybombed it white & put a black suzuki sticker on it. i'll see if i can get some pics up tomorrow.
Not to hi jack, but I am also in search of a stock (OEM) chin fairing if anyone has one for sale or knows where to get one. I've got an old '93 GS 500E that I want it for. Thanks!
Instead of buying it off an unknown eBay reseller, go to the source. The one that Powerbronze makes looks like a copy of the old Suzuki OEM part:
http://www.powerbronze.co.uk/Display_Screen.asp?SSN_LNG=eng&SSN_CUR=uk&PRG_ID=25357#MODEL?SSN_LNG=eng&SSN_CUR=uk (http://www.powerbronze.co.uk/Display_Screen.asp?SSN_LNG=eng&SSN_CUR=uk&PRG_ID=25357#MODEL?SSN_LNG=eng&SSN_CUR=uk)
Use the selections in the lower right to drill down to Suzuki / GS500E
Price is listed as 79 British Pounds plus 15 Pounds shipping to US/Canada. Google converts that as USD$140 or CAD$173 at today's rates. Not cheap, but it's a direct bolt-on and all hardware included, shipped right to our doors.
:)
Hmm, that almost sounds like it would be worth it...
I just found the Powerbronze here http://www.superbikestore.com/ . Company is in Michigan and US/Canada distributor for Powerbronze. $129.95 Free shipping on orders over $100. I ordered one, I will post up as soon as I get it.

Very cool! I'm interested to see what it looks like when you've got it on the bike!
Nice find!
Just got an email that the part is shipping today, so at least they are quick.
Not sure if you all saw my post in the other forum. Got the belly pan. Install was not too bad, looks good. I can only say good things about Superbike Store. They were quick with delivery and provided good communication on my order status.

I have one $20 plus shipping
Hi all,
Actually, Eug didn't have a chin fairing for sale.
He had another unrelated part, but no problem!
:)
I'm torn between the powerbronze and the skidmarx......

I say use shout on the skidmarx...very embarrassing if you dump your bike. :)
what sort of hardware came with that thing? It looks great; wondering if the hardware would translate to Suzuki one and be cheap/available. Work frowns on us making bike parts on the gov't dime.
It came with U bolts and angle brackets. The U bolts around the frame and the angle brackets had a threaded nut plate on one end. I will get some pics of it for you.
So do you have stock exhaust or aftermarket? If stock, do you think there's clearance in there for aftermarket exhaust, or would one have to fabricate some brackets to make that work?
Here ya go, folks. All kinds of custom accessories for the GS 500, including quarter fairings and belly pans:

WARNING: MOST OF THIS STUFF IS INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE.

Sorry for the late response. I have stock. There is one spot on the bottom that I think may be too close. If it starts to get affected by the heat I will just use the dremel to cut some more space. Not sure how it will do with aftermarket.
I have one for sale. See for sale section
Parts are off a 1991 GS500 with exception of turn signals which are off a 2002. The petcocks all functionally are the same, some of the later ones have a plastic knob instead of metal, this one has metal and we all know metal is better than plastic Smiley
I just sold one gas tank pet chicken, and still have the other available, however I don't have any screens left.
More stuff:
OEM chin fairing in teal blue
Some scratches, and damage in mounting holes. Most everything is unnoticeable when the part is mounted. Showed damage in pictures anyway- $90
The frame mounted pet chicken I have is brand new, it has marks where I mounted it but took it off and was never used. I bought this last year brand new.
Gas cap with 2 keys- $40
Turn signal stalk and a turn signal lens in great shape off of a 2002- lens is $10 stalk is $15

Was it hard to install? Did you have to make any mods to the bike or chin fairing to get it to fit?

Fairly simple installation. Install everything slack, and then start tightening things up when you have it lined up right.
Only mod I did was to the fairing itself where it was touching the pipe underneath. Just used a dremel to cut a bit out.
