This is something that I copied and pasted from a gun forum but wanted a broader group to pull from. Motorcyclists are from every walk of life as seen on this board and wondered where people here would draw the line. Again, this is quoted from someone else:
So where do you draw the line? (RANT WARNING)
When the question is asked, about 50% of people generally say they would be willing to fight a government that became tyrannical. But my question is, where do you draw the line? The tax burden is already at 42%, the 1st and 2nd and 4th Amendments have been trashed, and your "property rights", well, you don't really have any.
So where do you draw the line? At 50% taxation? 60% 80% 99%? Anywhere? When they say, oh you can keep your guns but it's illegal to buy, sell, lend or trade them and you can't pass them to your kids? When they say you have to work 100 hours of mandatory "community service" every year? 1000 hours? 5000 hours?
When they install a video camera on your street? In front of your house? IN your house? With a microphone?
I would ask about artificial currency, gov owned banks and corporations ect, and many other things that have already happened, but we already know that what has happened is not enough to cause most people to take drastic actions.
When does the frog tire of the gradually heating pot and decide to take action? Or does he ever?
Will people realize that the system, the political game, is a distraction, a blindfold? The GOP takes away the 4th amendment, and if you don't like it you can vote in the Democrats next term, and they will take the 2nd. 4/8 years later you can vote again and they will take something else. Meanwhile half the people cheer that they half won and the other have figure they will be ok if they can wait 4/8 years for the next guy. WAKE UP!
The law is being used as a tool to allow others to live and prosper off of YOUR work! The constitution has been corrupted and ignored.
If you are going to say "Well, I I'm sure when I would fight but I'll know it when it happens" you might just want to admit it to yourself that you will NEVER fight. If you can't rationally think about it now and make a decision, what makes you think you will be able to later on?
I'm not even asking you to post this, but try searching your soul to come up with an answer. It will not and should not be easy. In fact it may be the hardest thing you ever do. But if you do have the courage to draw one, you should know where your line in the sand is.
Ah, sorry to be ranting I'm just frustrated.

Short answer: When the frog is cold, in the dark and hungry.
I honestly don't know where the line is anymore. When somebody takes away ANY religious rights, starts to lock me up, and as stated above, cold hungry and pissed (at least for me) I'll start taking people out one by one. Just curious anyway.
