Title: Angel Eyes for 500F?! Sorry! Not usually one to repost the previously discussed!
Post by: ikeland on November 18, 2008, 05:24:28 PM
Hey guys, I'm not usually one to repost old posts but I'm getting really frustrated cause I'm not finding the answers I'm looking for (either here [no offence] or the net)! Is there any Angel Eye options for an 06 500F?  I know the Hellas work for the Es because there is no fairing to worry about, but that doesn't really help me :) ! Thanks for any help, advice and/or sources you can offer!

If you good with fiberglass you could remove the stock f headlight and cover the hole then cut out two holes for dual angel eye headlight and make a mounting bracket and rewire them i think that could look really good.

If you want to do the work yourself, you might get some idea how to do it here: http://www.geocities.com/jvxdriver/eagle_eyes.htm and here: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=980547339061120203

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he wants to install one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-Car-8cm-CCFL-Halo-Rings-Angel-Eyes-Light-Headlight-B_W0QQitemZ290273262516QQihZ019QQcategoryZ23009QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

in his F style headlight... I've never taken apart a bike headlight, but if the process is the same for cars, put it in the oven at a low temp (like 200 degrees or something - i'm not responsible for any info contained here) and then pry the headlight apart gently. Then, do what you need to, and silicone it back up

lol at that ebay link!    those are simply cold cathode rings taken off of computer case fans. note the 8cm (80mm) just like a fan, and the 4 screw holes, JUST LIKE A COMPUTER FAN. I have fans with these on them. Also note the blue power supply that comes with them, it has holes in it because it has a mic in it so that it can pulse to music if you want. He's advertising it as a car halo light lol.
