Title: FS: 04 GS500 Track Bike (clear title)
Post by: l3uddha on November 18, 2008, 05:35:33 PM
Complete package for someone looking for a cheap, good, reliable track bike at a good price:

2004 GS500 track bike, somewhere around 10,000 miles (speedo removed with exact mileage), comes with clear title.

complete kawi 52mm ZX7 USD front end with GMD adjustable offset triple clamps

woodcraft clipons

brembo front master cylinder, steel braided brake lines, stops on a dime.

K&N pod filters and full Jardine exhaust system, carbs rejetted for the new fueling

bandit 400 rear rim, a wider rim to fit 150 size race tires

spare front and rear rims with pirelli rain tires mounted on them, spare axles.

tires on the bike are pirelli diablo supercorsas with only 2 trackdays on them.  supersoft front and soft rear i think.

penske rear shock

new DID chain installed 4 or 5 trackdays ago

geared to get around loudon

new EBC HH brake pads on the bike with only 1 trackday on them

suspension set up by Peter kates w/ GMD Computrack.  geometry set and frame checked this past spring.

probably a few more things but that's all I can think if now.

I did 4 or so trackdays on it this year and the thing is an amazing learning tool and a blast to push around the track. I have more fun riding this bike around loudon than I do my triumph daytona.  partly because i don't want to scratch up my street bike, but mostly because this bike makes you think and actually have a strategy through each turn.  it's fun outbraking or passing bigger bikes in turns.  I intended to keep it, but I just purchased something else. it would be a shame to have it just sit in the garage unused.  my loss, your gain.  the bike is also a piece of cake to work on. i have a few crummy pictures but can take better ones upon request or the bike is in Medford, MA.

asking $1400 OBO.  bike has more than that in suspension alone.  Will not part out or split the package.  Loacated in Medford, MA.

Nice bike!

How easy/hard was it to fit the kawi 52mm ZX7 front end?  Are you using the kawi front wheel?

You still have the bike? I'm not too far to come look. I want a stunt/track bike for a few personal endeavors this coming summer.

Let me know
