I've had my 95 for about 5 years. It's my 4th bike, and the best one so far. Unfortunately, the end cap on the left handlebar fell off while riding. Where can I get a replacement? Question 2-I read the posts about magnets on the center stands, and it sounds like what I need to do. Can someone post or send me a picture of what the mounted magnet looks like so I can do one too? Thanks!
John.
1) Your local dealer, www.bikebandit.com, www.ronayers.com, or any of the bar end sliders (nylon bar ends that are an inch or so longer to protect the levers and tank).
2) Its Kerry's gadget so I'll leave it up to him to explain.
1) I lost my right-hand bar end a couple years ago. I got online, found some motorcycle wrecking yards, and put out a query for the missing parts (the metal "cap", the lead-like weight inside, and the screw/bolt that secures it all). I got a slightly beat-up and rusted bar end from a place in Colorado for a few bucks, then sanded and painted it. It might be less hassle just to order the part from Bike Bandit (http://www.bikebandit.com) or your dealer.
2) For a picture of the mounted magnets, go to the old message thread Stop lights won't go green!!! (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=2519.msg18822#msg18822) and scroll 2/3 of the way to the bottom of the first page. [I guess I shoould add a quickie page to my web site...]
