Wal-Mart employee was trampled and killed by 2,000 shoppers trying to get at some wal-mart deals...

This is a terrible example of mob-mentality and what this consumerist society has turned us into. Its pretty sick how a few dollars off can get our consumerism revved up to redline..
If they have video of the door when it got pushed open, everyone that had their hand on it should be charged with involuntary manslaughter.
I hope those nuts have a "Happy Christmas" thinking about what they did.
PJ
Stupid dumbass sheeple plowing madly to get at the cheapest chinese made trash. I agree, if a video is available these responsible should be publicly "strapped out", stripped naked and caned until their vertabrae are exposed. The video of them being scourged should be placed on the cartoon network for all the little children to see. The last 40 years of brainwashing of the sheeple have occured on the aforementioned as well as sitcoms and Hollywood. And the stupid Goyim have fallen for it hook, line, and sinker.
p.s. I'd like to nominate SPC, BettingPython, and Jserio for the job. :)
I'd love to participate as well although I am still basically one-armed, I'd like to be allowed to use a 6-"C"-cell Maglite (D cell is just too large for my effiminate hands) :)
Still having trouble from that surgery? Still have regular PT and what not? I'm tempacrippled right now, apparently, I pulled a tendon in the top of my wrist. I'm hoping to get back to the plates early next week and leave the bench and EZ bar alone for another week after that. (EZ bar is where it happened, trying to rep out 155.....I only made it to 3 before the shooting pain)
If the cops responding had any f%$king balls they would have CS'd the whole place and kicked the crap out of every 'customer' as they scrambled outside to fresh air.
i'm at a loss for words actually. wow. over a few bucks. it's sad really. not just that someone got trampled but more so that the people involved didn't seem to care. over a few bucks. damn. :2guns: you know, if more people in this world thought about their fellow man and not just themselves, it might be a little bit better place. :cookoo:
That Just Pisses me off.A guy goes to work to try to Make a Living and Possibly Provide for His Family. Then Gets Trampled to Death by f%$king Brain Dead Assholes. Not only Should the People be Responsible but Walmart Should be Responsible Also. Walmart is Really the Cause of the Effect..
Using that logic, let's go ahead and put every single person who has ever shopped at Wal-Mart on trial because they supported the business that got this man killed. :cookoo: No one is responsible for an individual's actions other than that individual. Wal-Mart might not have done anything to discourage the behavior, but they are not liable for an individual or a mobs actions.
no, i can't say that i'd hold walmart liable either. however i'm sure they will pay a hefty sum to the deceased's family.
i hate christmas...this just gives me another reason
People's idiocy never ceases to amaze me. They really should look at the security tape and charge some people with involontary manslaughter.

when you say " that individual" are you referring to the one killed, or the one who killed him?
if a company sets in place the likely hood of a criminal or dangerous event then they are indeed liable. like yelling fire in a crowded hall. business, have for years, been doing this "run and grab" type of sales tactics for years. if someone gets hurt then i believe the company is liable. there is no need for walmart or any other company to advertise, limit product or limit timing of sales to cause these rampant runs. they have corporate and legal responsibility
Wal-Mart didn't force or coerce anyone into showing up for their sale. I've already discussed this with a few attorney's, none of whom believe Wal-Mart should carry any burden of liability though they will probably propose a package to the family as it would be quicker, easier and cleaner than actually taking the risk of the family being the typical 'I want something for nothing and I don't care who I step on in the process' piece of shaZam! that our society has come to harbor.
terry you are right...it is a sign of the times and i think as our economy continues to go into the tank it will only get worse.

Unfortunately frankie, i agre wiht you. it WILL get worse. id hazard a guess and say this aint over yet, nor will it be for many years :o , its beginning was decades in the making, and quite possibly its ending maybe a decade away. i hope not, i hope i can say yay im wrong, but the signs dont point to that as of yet :o
people were going this crazy over sales long before the economy tanked. This is what the majority of people are like...
Hell pablo i remember crap like this in 1983 8)
hey who woke up the big p? yes in the 80's was our last economic down cline and it will take some time to get out of it. but America will be stronger for it.

true, but i was referring to the "black friday crap"
It's called black friday because it usually marks the date during a physical year when retail business's go from operating at a defecit, aka in the red, to making a profit, aka in the black.
Damn, the deals were not really that good either!
I buy after Christmas. Just this year I got a 53" HD (albeit a floor model) for $350 at Walmart in January. Oh, well this year will be tight because of the Break-in. I gotta have a roof on my car! I'm due to have a medi-port inserted in the next week and my shoulder will not be up to the driving much less riding! Whoo hoo yet another surgery, but if it keeps me from 13 attempts at an IV or a central line in the Groin then it will be worth it!
Another thing about the economy I'm getting worried about is people are dropping their car insurance to save money. It is illegal but they usually don't get caught unless they are pulled over or the worst part in an accident. They said 1 in 112 drivers in Fl had no insurance. And 300,000 have suspended license! Makes riding a little more costly!
My .02 cents

So you like the three tenors Eh? nice, they are one of my faves. specially loud :icon_twisted:
Actually I do like the Three Tenors! Have a couple of their Cds a Christmas one then one where they do well known American songs. They do a lovely rendition of "Somewhere over the Rainbow". But, yeah those high notes I can do with the right needle stick. Couldn't imagine it if I were a guy! But, 'tis a very sensitive area!

Wal-Mart: The Evil Empire and Our Seducer
This off color circus that runs 24 hours a day has fed our consumer appetites at 3 A.M. when we needed it the most. Its always there for us enter inside it and become stupified over cheap car speakers and knock off west coast choppers hats. It is the home of all walks of life. From the drunken college @$$hole, to the reclusive "wolf shirts". It nurtures the saddest parts of American Culture. What's even sadder is now Wal-Mart has the power over Americans to take a life in the spirit of capiltalism. Shame on all of those who set aside all common decency and consideration for their fellow man, and trade it in for selfishness and indifference. May the pigs that murdered that Wal-Mart employee burn in hell over their shitty electronic equiptment.
