When I bought my bike a few months ago, it had obviously been laid down a few times (although it didn't look like it was at any kind of speed)
The little plate with the Suzuki name on the gear box is scratched up and I was wondering what they're called and if you can easily buy new ones?
yes and i can't remeber ill look it up

number 13 why they didn't just keep it 18 so you can see it but i think 13 is what your talking about
then go to crank case covers
hurray for can top and adhesive
yeah,
Got mine at the local stealership for $13. Alot for a piece of plastic with sticky stuff on it. But, want it lookin good!

Hmm, we're getting close. It's not just the plastic piece, but the metal that mounts to the crank case too
If you look at this photo:

You'll see the piece that has 3 screws on it surrounding the plastic Suzuki piece
check out parts numbers 11 and 13 in the crankcase-cover category of the link Mdow posted.

Ah, yeah. that's the part. 30 bucks, booo.
maybe i'll do it eventually. Is this site a reputable one for buying parts or is it more for a reference and then you buy elsewhere?
Bike bandit seems to be a good place to get parts. I've ordered from them a few times and my orders always show up quickly... Not the cheapest place ever, but it is really easy to find stuff there, which counts for a lot...
I bought part number 13 from babbitsonline, and it was cheaper there.
I just ordered those exact same parts from cyclenationparts.com. They took a while to deliver (up to Canada), but it definately made a big improvement in the bikes looks. The install was easy (5 min).
