Title: GS500F Carborator
Post by: skudman on December 01, 2008, 11:31:32 PM
ok so i was doing some reading on carburetors and to further my knowledge of carburetors, and i need to know if this is a CV carb or not. It is a 2006 GS500F. Also for those of you that have jetted yours, would you recommend buying the Dynojet kit which by my understanding won't be enough of an upgrade from stock, or assemble my own kit from online retailers such as sudco.com ??

Thanks
Ryan

P.S. I am adding a Lunchbox, and a yosh slip on. might go full custom system if funds allow.

dynojet kits are 10x what you'll pay for jets, or more.

lots of folks have extra jets on the board, dissassembling your carbs isn't difficult, just a little time consuming.

cv - heck, i dunno man, i'm new here !

Its a CV carb kids.

The Jet pack for an 04 for pipe and lunchbox is $22 shipped. $28 if you want mids. The mids are probably not needed, washers work just as well.
The jets in my pack are ... 20 pilots, 147.5 mains, washers, bolts and if needed 65 mids.
Cool.

the dj132 jets are equal to 125 mukuni jets. you might as well buy them off the buddha he will get you what u want. dyno jets directions suck also. i have dyno jets and it took forever to figure them out. im about to go to buddha for mine.
