You need bar end mirrors for 7/8" bars. I have these and really like them:

They are a bit convex so I can see more around me, I like them much better than the stock mirrors that were on my bike.

I like the CRG mirrors. I removed the bar end on my 05 F and there was a piece of rubber to hold the bar end on that the big screw goes into. With the CRG mirrors they clamp directly on to the handlebar correct? After they are clamped is there anything that covers the end of the bar so there isnt a hole there? Do you put the original bar end back on? Anyone know of any other bar ends that are NOT bicycle 3rd eyes. Thanks. The bars on the F are 7/8th right?

How well are these style mirrors with visability?  I can't imagine that you can effectively see behind you with these which to me makes them a safety hazard!?

Yeah, you should be able to put the stock bar ends back on without problem... I have mine clamped directly to the handlebars and they work well. I don't have stock bars, so no bar end weights for me, but I imagine it'd work out alright.

You can see behind you way better than with the stock mirrors. They are further out from the center, so you don't see your shoulders and they are convex, so you have a wider field of view. They also don't vibrate like crazy like the stock mirrors do, so they are usable at higher RPM. I had stock mirrors on my bike where I could only adjust them to see my shoulders or two lanes over and over about 4000 RPM, they just turned into a blurry mess because they bounced around so much. The bar end mirrors are way better.

Wow, never would have guessed that!  I've been thinking about trading mine for these but wasn't sold on the fact I assumed you couldn't see as well.

www.rizoma.it - dunno if there are any suppliers in the US.
I just love mine! Awesome visuability and lush optics. You can mount them the other way round as well, but my arm was in the way and I couldn't see enough for my likings.

For pics see my sig - okay, it's not standard handlebars, but should fit standard bar ends as they come with different size spacing rings.

Wow, they make some sweet mirrors. Perhaps I'll look into getting some for my project bike...

I have those. Unfortunately I couldn't tell you much about how they work as my bike has been down since before I bought them. All I know is what you see is what you get. For the money I think they're worth trying out. You could spend $60 for CRG or $150+ for some of the others and trash them the first day out with one parking lot oops.

Very true. CRG does sell replacement parts for just such an occasion... Don't know if other companies do that, but it might make them cheaper than buying a cheap pair, destroying it and buying another cheap pair...

I ordered a cheap set 2 cheap sets from ebay and I love them, they are the round convex style. I can see more than just my shoulder and they don't vibrate as much.

The day I got them I installed the right side first then while installing the left side I managed to knock the bike over and smashed the one on the right, I was pissed about that for at least a week.
