I bought this luggage rack from wemoto in the UK for like $125 with shipping & handling. The dollar conversion killed me. It was strange on the wemoto site, this rack was for a '05/06 GS500 but mine is a '08 GS500 and it fit perfectly! I've attached photos below.

Wemoto sells some pretty awesome racks for all sorts of bikes. My contact there was Ralph:

He was kind enough to measure the screw holes to ensure I ordered the right part before he shipped the product to the US.
Really happy with this rack. I'll never wear a backpack again now!
Carl, any chance you could provide the name brand and model of that rack that worked for you? I am having a terrible time finding luggage racks that state they fit the 2008 GS500F.

If anyone is looking for Racks (Top or Side) for the Suzuki GS500 E or F, I just found these from Fehling (Germany). (They also make an Engine Guard for the GS500E). A quick email to them and I got a quote for shipping from their factory of roughly 116 Euros for the Top Rack, and 147 Euros for the Side Racks plus shipping (to the USA that was about another 40 Euros).

I don't have a photo, but here's a diagram I "borrowed" and annotated from one of their Czech vendor's websites. You may be able to find an existing distributor for them in your country.

Hello. I digged through my emails and I get find receipt w/ model # but I have this to chase, "Wemoto Motorcycle Parts Order
