holy oh my goodness ...i have never seen anything even remotely like this. the morose baying of a lion in its last gasps for life is heart breaking. but i agree it had to be shot.

Wow, that was unlike anything I've ever seen before. It was quite hard to watch.
mercy killing is always hard. Its a confusign feeling. YOu feel bad for killing it, but you try to convince yourself it had to be done.

don't most south american dialects have similar roots? :dunno_white:
Am I blind? I'm having a hard time wondering why everyone was so concerned about the lion. My opinion might offend, but it would take a REALLY extreme set of circumstances for the lines to be blurred between the importance of human life vs. animal life--and I love animals. I hope the guy recovered!
All countries south of the rio grand speak spanish, except for Brazil. They speak portuguese.
I can understand it a bit if spoken very slowly. They are way to excited for that.
Portuguese to me is like a mix of french and spanish.
As for the content, I'm OK with taking out the lion. A humans life always wins with me.
What is bad is that poor training or stupidity probably brought on the attack, Still when it comes down to it. If there is a choice between an animals life or a person, The animal will go Bye Bye with me.

i don't think anyone thinks that the lion should not have been shot.
you know what is really sad? is that tromping around the lion nonchalantly is a little dog, oblivious that HE should have been the dinner treat and not the animal handler. sigh! I just want to know what the HELL he was doing to get his butt dragged in there in the first place. damn!
I dont know if you guys like Kat williams, aka, money mike. But in his latest skit out on dvd...It's pimpin Pimpin, he has a part in there abtuo how tigers feel in captivity and what drives them to attack. Its hilarious.

..how tigers feel in captivity and what drives them to attack...
Let's look at the facts...tigers and lions are not meant for captivity. Also, it took four bullets to pry that lion's jaws off. It obviously was pissed enough to attack. If you disregard your own human nature to survive and look at it with an altruistic perspective, the lion should have eaten the guy and lived.
i would think that a .38 cal fired into the lions main did little damage and they had to do a head or vital organ shot.
was it a .38? honestly dont hear the reference, and with the horrible acoustics there, was not easy to HEAR teh size either. but yeah, that was a BIG cat, several shots for sure
Head shot sometimes dont do much other than anger the animal. They have much smaller brains than their head suggests.
Yea I think that dude should have been dinner ...
Cool.
Buddha.
well if the lion had the gun it would be a little more different and the lion wouldnt think twice about shooting and then eating us. man just won cause the gun was in the hands of the police officer and not the lions'.
