I am trying to remove the front fairing from a recent model F, and am having a really difficult time accessing two phillips screws that are holding the headlight bracket onto the bike - I do not have enough room to access with a screwdriver, and am wondering if I am missing out on something obvious. :dunno_black:
Does anyone have an exploded diagram of the front fairing showing all mounting hardware?
Has anyone removed their front fairing in the past and have some tips on removal from the bike?
Thank you.
I don't know what year you have but you can find exploded views here:

hmm I dont remember having any problems, make sure all of the plastic clips are undone I guess, seems like there is a thread here that has good step by steps Ill look for it.
After you remove the large hunk of black plastic that wraps behind the speedo/tach and to the left/right sides of the tank, you should have plenty of room. Standard craftsman drivers fit just fine in there.
the headlight bracket is the same thing as the mirrors bracket, it's attached to the frame with two bolts. everything else comes off easy, just remove all the screws you see on the fairings, voila.
