Hi, how are you? I haven't introduced myself but I've been reading you for some time, until I finally joined the forum some weeks ago. My name is Carlos and I'm from Argentina. Let me say that I don't know much Emglish but I'm getting help getting this done so maybe my next answers are not written in perfect English :P
I've got a 98 model GS500 and my question is as follows:
I've now got a # 122.5 main jet (original, but I've also tried # 117.5) a # 40 pilot jet (the original one was # 37.5 but this one seems to work better) y a Jeet Needle code 5DH9 with the clip in the third groove from top to bottom (on the clip side). The problem is that at high RPM my bike can't reach the maximum speed it used to, and at low RPM, it jerks when accelerating, there are some explosions which seem to be coming out of the air filter, and it only works correctly as from 4000 RPM. I've tried regulating the pilot screw turning it 1 to 4 times outwards but it's no good and it always responds the same way. Right now, the level of the ball cocks is the one I'm showing in these photos:...

Could that be the cause of the problem? Should I put the level of fuel down? That is, should I put up the level of the ball cocks? I understand that the one I've got now is the right one, but I look forward to your comments. Thanks in advance!
Don't think i have that tube hooked up on my carb float bowels... Is that bad?
^ thats to check the level of fuel in the carb float bowls you don't have a hose their
i think you need to put the #2 washer in the carb
ill get pics of RIGHT were it needs to go tomarow.
:D whew... Good :D

I wait for them, thanks!
PD: You really think that the position of the jet needle affects the low RPMs? I thought that the Jet Needle affects only between 5000 and 7000 RPMs
not sure if the big center rod is the jet needle or not but i remeber hearing that it helped alot for snappy accell.
