Nice looking bike! Great price I'd say, not too sure about his choice on the exhaust. Looks like it sticks out kinda far. But I'd buy that in a minute. My sister's bf bought that bike after his cbr was stolen. They're really nice.

Thats too much bike for you. You don't need that much machine. A 250cc Kymco scooter is more than enough to commute and get around on.

frankie -

when you get to florida, update your insurance. talk to christina on tsb (bobthebiker can get you in touch) and save some money.

on your bike:

1) DISPLAY YOUR TAG PROPERLY (they love this ticket, it leads to more tickets for ridiculous things)
2) use the tag bolt reflectors, yes, they will stop you for not having reflector bolts !
3) watch your 6, every single grandma in florida wants to run you the hell over. no, really.

:)

im not familiar with MC laws state to state,i know most are reciprocal, like tn will transfer to a bordering state, ( usually) but someone here posted a gripe about FLA a while back

According to http://home.ama-cycle.org/amaccess/laws/result.asp?state=FL
they accept other States' endorsements.

they may, or they may not. when you get to the  DMV, they'll tell you they do not reciprocate with MS or AL. so far, the same here in AL, so i'm batting a billion or something so far. :(

This is what they say about out of stater's

Out-of-state Newcomers
If your out-of-state license is current and already has a motorcycle endorsement, you won't be required to take additional tests to get the endorsement on your new Florida license. That is, as long as if you are younger than 21, you have completed a Florida-approved safety course. If you are older than 21 but haven't completed an approved safety course, you will need to take and pass the motorcycle knowledge and skills test.

Also, everyone believes that this is a No Helmet required state there is a little blurb that one might find interesting:
If you're at least 21 years old and have a minimum medical insurance policy of $10,000, you can bypass wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle. Otherwise, you'll have to wear a helmet.

All riders must have some sort of eye protection, such as goggles or glasses, or have a windshield on the bike.

Be careful with local employer coverage because more and more are not covering vehicular accidents because people aren't purchasing insurance. Read your coverages closely!

TN dropped my MC endorsement when I moved from MO.  I didn't even realize it at the time.  I think it was an oversight, but I didn't have a bike at the time and it was almost a year before I realized.  They said I had to take the driving test or one of the approved courses again once I figured it out and called them about it. :flipoff:
