One minute of cranking? Instructions say to run it out of fuel, but then says to run the bike on 3 cylinders (for 4 cyl bikes). I'm calling :bs: Can someone confirm or deny my suspicions?
wow. thats kinda strange, and very much so insane. for those of us with DEEP plug wells on our 600's and fairings in the way, this isnt a viable option at all.
hteyve had them or variations thereof for yeas. i had one for my sprtster, but it screwed into the plug hole coils disconnected and such
me: "Hey look, i have a flat! I better get out my handy-dandy tire inflator. Hmm, just pull a spark plug and... PLINK ! I stripped the plug in the head ! Oh Nozzzzzzzz! "
mechanic, at a motor$$$$ycle shop 3 hours later: "Ya, we get one of these things come through now and again. Usually only co$$$$$$$$t$$ 3-400 to fix the damage."
me:"Ya, I could have just carried 5-6 CO2 cartridges with me I guess."
mechanic: "Hey, if you happen to find a 5mm socket rattling on your bike, it be mine."
me: thumbing the starter, about to ride off...
ZwaaaaaaaaaaaaPOWWWW ! (Just found the 5mm, in the #2 cylinder!)
^ this would happen. no, really, it would if I tried to fix a tire with engine compression on the road.
also a prime way to burn up a starter I'd think.
