I've been tiring of my CBR lately, and the GS500 just keeps calling me back so I'm looking into a trade for one with an FZR front end swapped onto it.
I'm not totally sure of the miles on it, but I'm betting its low, and it looks pretty good considering its another 89 and has been repainted, and many other things.

you know FiNaL (tsb) has a bunch of FZR stuff to sell, iirc a full front end. maybe you take a look, and let me know what it needs to put one on a gs ?
i can make whatever i need for stems/blah, but if it means forking out $600 ... :(
c'mon back :)
I was thinking about those forks and all that. I'm honestly uncertain what it'd take to put em on a GS. the one I was looking at has an FZR front end and gauges on it, but I havent looked at it in person, and the guy wont do a straight up trade like I was hoping for.
Since the bike has an FZR front, I know its POSSIBLE, but not certain if its a bolt on modification like the kat600 front, or more in depth or what. but the front wheel matches the rear honestly.

as soon sa the gs stem arrives, i'll be getting into differences of the gs stem vs other triples. making a new stem shouldn't be much trouble, i'm assuming there are 2 bearing fits and a tapped hole. (shrug)
the rest would be clearances for the triples, and which wheel/brakes to use. shouldn't be too much of an obstacle.
