Title: Nature verses GSF
Post by: GSBRI on December 30, 2008, 06:15:16 PM
:2guns: 12/30/08 @ 7:00am  a deer T boned me  at 40 mph  on my way to work, no clouds, fog etc. a perfect day  to ride too work. I guess  Bambi  was  out  for  blood. Once the deer hit me I slid 50 + feet along with the bike. I was wearing all my gear !!!!!!!!  I went to the doctor and had an Xray done on my left hand, its fractured. also had minor road rash on my elbows. The bike was totaled by the insurance company  and the deer got away, it was a hit and run!!!!!!!!!  Ive only been a GSF owner for 6 months and the bike I loved was destroyed by bambi.

Be safe out there!!!!!  Watch out for Dogs, deers and the rectangual metal things with four wheels. :icon_sad:

Wow! Glad to hear you're OK! When you're feeling better, you should post pictures of your gear and bike. It is always instructive to see how things hold up in a crash. It seems like insurance companies will total bikes for almost any reason. If it isn't too bad, just buy it back from them at scrap value and fix it on a salvage title... Probably would be cheaper than buying a new bike. It is also a perfect opportunity to ditch the faring and go naked!

Well here is some pics of my totaled bike. The front forks are slightly bent along with case scraps and damage. The plastic on the right side was scrapped off and a big chunk blown out of the middle of the left side plastic. The only thing that didnt recieve damage was my tank, its in perfect condition.  Deer suck!!!!!!! Im retarded I will put some pics on the wall of fame under GSBRI   :technical:
