so i was gonna go for a ride today but a dead battery decided otherwise, and with it being a holiday no one is open. guess i'm stuck at the house today :icon_rolleyes:

walmart ? they have batteries for $35 or so, mine is almost 3 years old, fine.
although I loathe wal-mart you're probably right, the next question is do i feel up to riding my road bike up there and riding it back with a battery strapped to it?
ok so I guess its just been a little longer than I thought it has since I rode last, just had to try a few more times and I got it to crank up. apparently I'm still a little new to the motorcycle thing......
Cold bike batteries need to get "warmed up" some to activate all the elcetric goodness in it sometimes. I have the same problem.
You could always try push starting it... You have a decent chance of getting it running, just aim downhill and try to get it started before you reach the bottom. Worst case, you'll get some exercise pushing the thing around...
Yeah, the GS is so light, most people can probably push start it on level ground. I know I did when I first got it; the battery was dead, and I wanted to ride it right away. :icon_razz:
