I have split kat carbs several times before including one disastrous attempt to fit keihein carbs onto the kat I had cos it had plastic slides. Of course in 14 yrs and over 20 bikes with plastic slides, I never managed to break one in the bike. I ahve receoved them broken and broke one by dropping it, but never in the bike.
Anyway kat jetting is easy, if I see the air box and pipe etc I can jet it a lot better, memory is a little faded.
Kat and GS, I thought you wanted to run with some guys on the GSXR's. You do know neither will do that right.
Cool.

nope not a thing wrong. i just rode over 11k miles inside 6 months of owning it. plus its hard to move a GS for 3400 when you can buy a bigger bikes for 4000 to 5000. hell i was able to buy a katana an another GS for selling mine... bikes are cheap during winter...

Hmm...  sell a year-old bike for $2500 to buy an old bike?  Why didn't you keep it and use your tax return to buy another?  The math doesn't work for me.  You just paid $3000 to ride 11,000 miles, and your new bike is older than your old one, but don't mind me, I'm just an old man.
