I have a Russel stainless steel brake line that I bought used for my 89 GS.
I didn't get around to putting it on and have since sold my bike.
Looking for $30 and that will include shipping.
Thanks to everyone on this board that helped me out during the years.
You and my bike are sadly missed. I will get one again soon (but something a little faster!)
If the line was for an 89 specifically or it was made on an 89, my old bike had a line my friend made it more than likely wont fit any other year, be 3-4 inches too short for obvious reasons.
Cool.

I'm sure it will fit the '89 because that's what I bought it for. Not sure about the other years, but I can tell you it's 30" from end to end.
But it will fit our Canadian models up to 2001. (I think). I know my '91 has the clipons. As far as I know, the Canadian bikes stayed with the clipons until 2001. Anyone know any differently?
5thave: Nope. I dont think canadian bikes had clip on's past maybe 94.
I am sure they also had a different type of clip on 90 through 94.
89 clip on's are a fair bit lower and narrower than anything else. The canadian clip on's were taller but still narrower.
Hotbunz: Fitting the 89 is not the question. 89 can take any year GS brake line. The 90-09 bikes need the special line cos an 89 only line wont fit. Like if I made the line with the 89 as the model I will end up with a line that is 2-4 inches too short. If I made it on a 90-09 as the model, I'll be able to fit it on an 89 easy.
Cool.

That's true. My 91 'clipons' have a little rise in them, like an inch or so above the top plate. As for Canadian bikes going tubular after mid-90's, that's possible. I never really paid attention to that. Thanks for the input.
1 inch is 89. Try 4-5 inch for the high clip on's. Rabid-viper06 has some on his bike.
