Post by: joshr08 on January 10, 2009, 10:23:09 AM
I replaced front are rear sprockets and chain I took the old chain off but I need a riveting tool to put the new chain together.  Im having a hard time locating one tho.  Has anyone bought one and if so  where did you get yours.  I live in Michigan.  Thanks for your help.

http://www.mcmaster.com/

Search for chain riveter, they have several. This place is not the cheapest place around, but they ship everything overnight. My work orders stuff from them on a daily basis...

If you're willing to wait longer and deal with a search tool that is way less useful, try Enco at

When I'm ordering stuff for myself, I typically search McMaster for part numbers then see if Enco has the same thing...

No problem. McMaster is cool, they have literally everything. Their print catalog is the size of a phone book.
