Last night I replaced the clip ons, upper triple, and ignition on my bike. Afterwards, the headlight would go on when I turned the key, but nothing happened when I pushed the start button. Any ideas on what the problem could be?
All connectors within the headlight assembly were correctly reattached, all signals work, and the kickstand down detector has long been over-ridden.
Check the clutch switch.

check your 20 amp main fuse. it's behind the battery, on the right side, with the starter solenoid. mine blew twice until i figured out my (front) brake circuit was interrupted by the clipon.
pull hte leads to the start button, and check for voltage. wd40 does wonders for corroded contacts. :)
I agree, check your clutch switch, then check for shorts. It might also be useful to verify your starter and kill switches are still working like they should. It is possible that one or both of them became disconnected when you took the controls off the old bars...
Thanks kids, it was the clutch engagement switch. I just bypassed the switch, but I may fix the issue if I get bored.
