Did you give it a few love taps with a soft mallet? It needs a little jarring to get ti loose.

Put a few of the head nuts back on, finger tight less half a turn, pull the plug caps off........then crank it over on the starter...et voila...compression will free it off.........it never fails.

Try smacking it with a soft mallet horizontally, one side at a time, DONT lever against the fins or try and smack it upwards for obvious reasons.

Rubber tipped non-OSHA blow gun nozzle into the spark plug ports after removing the cams.

Reinstall the head bolts as previously stated.  :)

thanks for the help guys, we used some traditional wooden shims. I need a new engine, what will fit into a 2005 gs500f with no issues? 04, 05, 06 engines right?
