In exactly 6 days, i will be the proud owner of a new (to me) Glock 19.
What exactly is the point of a waiting period again? except to waste my time and gas money?
weird we dont ahve waitign periods normally. upon successfull passing of background check gun is yours. ( aorund here anyways) and in other locations as well
i am in the communist republic of maryland, where everything fun is illegal.
handguns need a waiting period - but most types of long guns dont.
waiting periods are lame. Post up and let us know how you like the 19. I'm looking at picking up a Glock 36 some time soon - my XD45 Tactical is too big for carry.
Nice, I got a Ruger P94 .40 for Christmas, I like it a lot :icon_twisted:
I agree waiting periods suck :icon_lol:

Wuss,
Real men AKA disciples of John M Browning carry full size 1911's in 45acp.
Peace ouit. :2guns:
:icon_lol:
FYI There is no such thing as "reasonable" gun control.
Waiting periods keep law abiding citizens from purchasing a weapon on the spot that any thug intent to commit crtiminal acts can get on shoert notice.

ha ha ha! That thing has a 5" barrel and a full size grip(13 rd double stack)! Ok ok I suppose I could conceal it if I wore a fanny-pack or purse everywhere - would that make me a "real man?"
Actually I carry my full size 1911 in a gould&goodrich B800 belt holster, or when I need to leave it in the truck along with the holster since I can't carry at work I carry in a paddle holster. In either case an oversized Denim shirt is all it takes to conceal with either of those. For summer carry I will use a milt sparks summer special IWB rig this year, that'll allow me to hide it with an untucked t-shirt. I know lots of people who carry concealed with similiar set ups to what I use inclding full size double stack grip frames.
I plan to buy a supply of Hawaiin shirts for summer time this year too :thumb:
I hope you know I was just ribbing you for getting a glock I wasn't trying to be a duck.
As far as a fanny pack as a concealment option yes it is viable but in modern society fanny pack screams ghey or gun or maybe it screams ghey man with a gun :thumb: :woohoo:
Waiting periods are for potential suicides and agressions to subside. And, background checks (if any).
jeeze is it true that everyone down there has a gun? do you guys carry them at all times or what?

All sales from a FFL dealer get done on a 4473 which requires a NICS check, thank god oklahoma doesn't have Californias abominable 10 day mandatory wait and prohibitons on private party sales.
I think Kansas has had it's CCW law since 2007 last stats I saw showed they had issued about 16,000 permits in that time, Oklahoma has been a shall issue CCW state since 1995. annually between 8000 and 20,000 licenses are approved per year. I would estimate theres between 80,000 and 100,000 Oklahoma residents currntly licensed to carry a concealed weapon.
FWIW I have been carrying since 1996

Its's cool. I wouldn't get the Glock for the looks, I know it's an ugly gun. I just want a compact .45 that's at least as good as my XD. I've got a LCP for carry now, but would prefer to bump it up to a bigger caliber.

Don't be jealous! ;) Seriously though, an armed society is a polite society.
Can you make your signature picture a bit bigger? I can't quite make it out..
↑↑↑ lmao @ the comment
stu: not only do we all have guns, but most of the southern states have castle doctrine and are slowly approving SYG laws :thumb: In other words, not only do we have the physical capability to f%$king shoot you, we have the right to if you invade our homes or threaten us. And all of the 'proper' Southern states will kill your ass back if you get convicted of murder.
good thing i decided to not rob your house last night. ;)

i put a few rounds through it today when i picked it up, and shot really good groupings - even shooting stupidly fast cause its more fun.
im partially tempted, to get a desert eagle .44 i saw here, or an xd40. cause eithr one can be sold for profit, AFTER i use them. not sure though. heh im half tempted

Get out of California, move to a pro 2A state before we kick it off into the ocean and build a wall around it. Oklahoma is accepting immigrants, leave any leftist hippie tree hugging pre-conceptions at the border please.
