Title: Easiest way to get ignition cylinder out
Post by: malcman on January 13, 2009, 02:04:24 PM
I'm going to assume I have to take an impact to those 2 larger nuts and split the black clamp piece from the sillver upper bracket that the handle bars attach to. Once that is done I'm hoping to find 2 bolts that hold the ignition cylinder in there? I looked through the manual but i can't find any part that shows how to remove the ignition cylinder. Anyone have any advice, I'd rather have an idea of what i'm getting into lol I don't like breaking things.

Thanks

Might want to look again, there is a big section on removing the ignition. There are shear bolts back there and the manual discusses the best ways to remove.

No worries! I just knew I had read that on my weekly scan through the manual just didn't have it in front of me to help find it!
