Awesome thanks for the info, I plan to order a set of roadriders next week.
Nice catch. Thanks for the post.
Thanks for posting this! I'm glad to see that they like the Avon Roadriders also, as that's what I'm running on my bike.

Always good input for us Affschnozel since we get so very little testing here in the US of practical tires for our bikes. Could be because there are no new practical bikes aka commuter type bikes left here in the land of supersport bikes and big cruisers. It's all about image here in the land of the giant SUVs.
I was not surprised to see the Demons rated as the fastest on the track but was amazed to see the Roadriders come in 2nd just a tad behind them and well ahead of the others. I've always thought of the Roadriders as the touring end of the group with just OK performance but very nicely priced on our market. I'm getting great life from my current Roadriders, perhaps I've been spoiled by some of the sport touring radials I've run.
Other biggest surprise was the low rating of the Lasertecs as they were probably the best of the bias ply sport touring tires I've use but they've become too pricey here and not nearly as long lived as the Roadriders.
Their high rating of the GT501 was expected since I ran a front one once and always say it was the most responsive bias ply front I've tried and my BT45s were very good too but rather short lived compared to the Roadriders. The GT501 are not available here in our sizes but there are 110/80 and 140/80 sizes we can use. The new Conto Go tires also are not available here in our sizes yet.
Hope that with rising popularity of ninja 250 (has same tire size as GS) you'll get more choice maybe
I knew going in when I bought my Pirellis that they wear a little more quickly, but this article may cause me to reevaluate the purchase next time.
Sweet thanks. Gotta start thinkin' aboot them tyres. I need some new ones come spring time...
OK gone running-in the new front Pilot Activ :D
first I've seen that article... can we add it to the wiki?
