I have an oportunity to pick up a Dunlop K505 front tire 110/80-17 for next to nothing (he is giving it away but I'll slip him a few bucks cause he's a nice guy). The guy upgraded his tires and his old ones still have some life. I commute mostly rush hour highway so I don't normally see high speed twisties.
Has anyone tried this tire or have any opinions on it's performance?

The K505 is oem for the Nighthawk 750 and only comes in two sizes, a 110/80-18 front and a 140/70-17 rear. No 110/80-17 front.
gsJack - Thanks for the come back. I looked at this guy's e-mail again to check if I got the correct tire. The pic he sent shows a K505G. Does this come in 110/80-17?

I just googled Dunlop K505G. There were many hits and it looks like there is a 110/80-17 size but all the sites are in german so I can't tell if it is a good tire for the gs.

There's some UK sites too that show the 110/80-17 K505 front tire and it seems it was for the NT650 Honda Hawk sold in the US from 88-91 so that's probably an old tire from the Hawk days, Dunlop recommends their GT501 tires for Hawk replacements now. I've only seen the Nighthawk 750 sizes with the 18" front tire sold here in recent years as shown on current Dunlop US pages:
