Hi guys,

Just passing this along to the forum.  I saw this on CL.  I thought it might be a good deal for someone.

Good.  I'm glad this info was useful for someone.  Let us know how it goes.  Kinda curious if it is a great deal or is really worth $800.

42K miles and katana 600 transmissions are a little iffy. Not like a GS tranny that never dies ... That is the thing to watch out for.
Cool.

42k on a Kat tranny? Can you say no 2nd gear?

who gives a shaZam! about the Kat?  Between the wheels, suspension, and brakes there's a pretty competitive GS500 in the near future...and enough extra crap from that "thing" to cover the investment.

I'd do it.  I'd do it twice.  I'd do it in the rain, even.

Mako - dude, FE and rear shock is all that is upgrade worthy. The rest is same as GS like wheels, and some other stuff well, fleabay is your friend. That is if its got a dead tranny. If it is OK, might as well fix and ride and sell in spring for big $. Even so that 42K will scare some people off cos well, there is bound to be these with 10K on the market too.

Average - did jeff's bike have lots of miles ?

Cool.
