Title: GS500 dropped and sold.
Post by: StanFry on September 19, 2003, 07:59:30 PM
A friend borrowed the bike tonight, and in 6 hours managed to slide to a stop on its side.

Luckily he's alright, but my insurance won't cover the cost of the damage and as the rule goes:  "You broke it, you bought it"

I'll probably continue to lurk.  (I like the camadrie (sp?) of this forum)

Stanfry-Arent you going to replace the GS with the money he paid you? If so what are you looking at buying?

pantablo :

Only drove the bike occasionally (Hard to get time with a four year old and a pregnant working wife).  I loaned it out to my brother for the month of August. Got it back from him to loan out to this other friend.

Gonna use the money to pay some bills.

Though if I was going to get a bike the sv650 would be a definite possibilty.  As much fun as the GS500 was, I have a rule about buying a vehicle that I've already owned (car or bike), life's too short not to try different things.

I'd say it's a perfect opportunity to go for a fully wrapped '04  :thumb:

It's not like the other!
