so yea my 2004 has different vacuum lines than i've seen in any diagram, anybody have a vacuum diagram of this year???
if not, where the balls does this guy go?
that one looks like the one that attaches to the inder side of the gas tank
no
yeah theres 3 on the bottom of the tank look two gas lines and a vent line i just pulled my gas tank off and looked. I guess i could be wrong but sure looks like the line i just had a Buddha Loves You of a time putting back on my tank just now...lol
i know, the vent hose is still attached to the tank, this is different.
well shaZam! sorry thats the one it looked like to me .
i didn't mean to sound hostile i was just sayin that's not how it is. anybody wanna take off their gas tank and snap me a picture pleaaaaaaaaaaaaase?
Here's some pics of the hoses on a 2004 previously posted, scroll down, makes me glad I have a 2002.

hmmmm that kinda helps it just doesn't explain exactly where everything connects. i still can't figure it out
What does the other end attach to?
to the backside of the things that's directly to the right of my fingers. that same thing has a large hose that connects to the air box. man i still can't figure this out. i think maybe whoever had this before me screwed up putting the vacuum lines back together.
I think you have more then one hose in the wrong location after looking at the pics the one with the red strip goes down the right side of the frame past the carbs and down you can see it in one of the pics in this other post. ill do more looking tomorrow when i have better light in the bike room and see what i can figure out between the pics in the other post your pic and my 05
i also noticed that the thing that's directly to the right of my fingers, is not on that other 2004 bike. what gives there? maybe that thing is some sort of california emissions crap.
so i took it off and snapped a pic of it, the only markings on it are Mikuni and P1-1 the line coming out of the back is the line i'm holding in the other pic. the two lines on the bottom is actually a loop, going back to itself. this is some sort of vacuum actuator. what does it do?
so on the mikuni site they show an example of a Secondary Air Valve which Controls secondary air for purging emission gas. did these come on all 2004's???
bump for the new day. i'm suspecting that i have a california model with extra emissions junk. i found a wiki on removing the emissions stuff but alas for some reason there is nothing in it. still lookin for some help with my vacuum lines. i'll be your best friend if you do!
SO!!!!! I got my dad to go to a suzuki dealer and had them print off some schematics for a 2004 GS500F!!! He scanned em and sent em to me and now I present them to the community!!! Someone should sticky these or put them in the wiki because they're great info for anyone with a 2004 or later model.

i guess some of them didn't come out so great so if people want i guess i can host the original files or something. they're large pdfs. i don't really know how to do that tho.
so that thing i showed yesterday, is totally hooked up wrong, there is not supposed to be a loop, but vacuum lines gathering vacuum from the exhaust. somebody has really screwed with the vacuum system on my bike and i wonder if it doesn't actually have more than the 259 miles the odometer claims.
i was actually working on figuring this out when i seen your newest post i found your part on bikebandit.com in there CA diagrams
bumping this as these diagrams will be helpful when i move further into removing my CA emissions(PAR system) :thumb:
thanks!
Some a little sharper....

Bump for adidasguy always going the extra mile and getting sharpened up scans for us groms. These PAIR hose routing diagrams are what helped me to fix Gabby, and will help others as well. RIP mang
anyway to by pass the whole system i have k n pods and cant hook up one line to the airbox
Okay I checked my float height and it seems my right carb is almost an inch-inch half above my gasket using this method http://www.gstwin.com/float_height_check.htm so I will adjust my float tomorrow. Could this be causing my issues or should I do anything else since my carbs will be off again
