Title: Has anybody heard of the Veypor? (not trailtech vapor)
Post by: dohabee on January 22, 2009, 05:25:42 PM
Man, this thing way cool http://www.veypor.com/veypor.html

It would be perfect for the gs and it does tons of stuff such as:

Gear indicator
Fuel gauge (including real time MPG and DTE)
shift light
speedo
Tach
0-60
HP and torque
braking distance
etc. etc.

I emailed them and I think if we can get 5 people interested they will give it to us for $130 shipped.

so anybody want one? comments? concerns?

the veypor is quite different than the trailtech vapor, read a little about it in the link I posted.

it uses an algorithm to determine what gear you are in based on speed/rpm and it does the same for fuel consumption.

It also has accelerometers which are used for horsepower calculations.

Maybe it is just me but I think this thing is amazing.

I wish i spent all my money on food so i could do that but all my finances are tied up in getting the bike back in fighting shape right now (not to mention my nagging gf lol) :) (jk she doesn't nag)

Should prob worry about that before i start adding cool expensive stuff anyway :)

OK here's the e-mail they sent me, looks like 135 shipped is the price.

David,

The discount will apply to a mixed order - no problem there.

The best I can do on the on the Veypor is $135 each for slow shipping (2 weeks) and $140 each for XpresPost shipping (5-day).
A VR2 would be $215 basic shipping and $220 XpressPost shipping.
