Just got a 93 E and I've been thinking about a more aggressive exhaust sound (stock isn't bad though).
Ran across this video and wondered.. Is there a way to make a GS sound this sexy?

mine is not as loud as that duc, but i think it sounds damn fine!
Do you have it on a more standard format? My media player won't accept that ".flv"
Well, you're never going to make a GS parallel twin sound like a Ducati 90 degree twin. But you can make it louder. Pissed-off lawnmower, neghbors calling the cops loud. :icon_mrgreen:
The Vance and Hines system is about as loud as you can get. :thumb:

Yeah sadly I thought so, I just love that rumble right after he kicks it though
Really I don't want something that'll set off every car alarm within a 1/4 mile, just something that's got a nice tone like that.
Hm, so what's a Vance and Hines pipe cost? Got any audio / video of one? I checked out V&H's website but they don't list a pipe for the GS.
I tried uploading to youtube, but I waited a couple hours and it didn't do anything. I'll try again here in a few.
I got mine for $300 shipped. Its a full system, and coupled with a jet kit(still messing with that...) and a K&N its given the bike quit a bit more oomph.
Hm alright, let me know if the Youtube post works out and be sure to post your link here
VH exhaust... Never hurts to search the site. http://www.gstwin.com/vanceandhines.htm
That video doesn't do it justice, FYI.

There ya go. Youtube finally let me upload it
Yeah that does sound nice man. So what's the horsepower gain on that?
I haven't a clue. I can tell you, from the seat of my pants, its pretty substantial.
I'll try to get a video of a downshift later. It sounds wonderful.
About 2 horsepower, per the dyno comparisons people on the board have done.
