If you can stomach more than 1 cup in a 1 hour period you're doing it wrong. Heck, I'd say 1 cup before lunch.

Not a problem. Heat the water in a microwave. Then drop a scoop of coffee grounds in it stir it a few times and put an oven mitt over that carafe. It retains heat. Then 10 mins later pour it in the filter basket of your coffee machine with a filter of course. That will run into the carafe and it will be seriously strong. Its called the Toddy method. Very good. Seriously it should be strong enough that you only can drink 1 8oz cup made with 2-3 Oz of milk and 5-6 oz of coffee in a 4 hour period between breakfast and lunch.

Boil some water, throw some grounds in, let steep, and drink that soup up. Browl that will put some hair on your chest, and everywhere else for that matter.

This is the cold method. I dont get bothered by the acidity so hot is fine, but it is a deeper extraction from the coffee because you are sitting it longer. It will get more flavors and more of the good stuff from coffee grounds.

Yea Kopi Luak is coffee beans fished out of cat shaZam!. When people say this stuff its the shaZam! man ... literally they mean that. Its extra funny, in Tamil Coffee is spelled and written an kopi or we say kapi. Indonesians are a similar origin to south Indians they even have ramayan and mahabharath with a twist. They call it kopi.
Monkey's picking tea, actually we really like fruits that a squirrel has started eating. We hide and wait till a squirrel starts to eat a quava fruit and as soon as it bites into it, we chase it away and we find it and eat that. That is the best fruit in the tree. Then eventually we let the squirrel eat. One time we did it so much that that squirrel made friends with us. It wont run till we get very very close to it. Bugger once ate almost 1/2 a fruit as we waved our hands and shook the tree. Aaaah the life ... robbing squirrels for our food.

French press is similar to toddy method.
Espresso machines - have to have 100% stainless everything. No pump parts or boilers out of aluminum. That crap cannot be cleaned and it will scale up.
Braun used to make a great one, I bought the last 2 they had in North america. I bought them off the internet from canada in 1997.
Pity, walmart used to sell it, but I could not find it at all at any of them for months and then they stopped obviously cos braun quit making it.

Eight O'Clock COLUMBIAN is very good, and only about $4 per bag.
Dunkin Donuts coffee is very good, but about $7 per bag.
Either one comes as ground or whole bean. Invest in a burr grinder and grind your own right before brewing. The difference is amazing!
If you want to spend some $$$, buy some AA Kenya. Amazingly smooth, with no bitterness. $14 per pound last time I had it.
No matter what method you use to make you coffee, make sure everything is CLEAN when you start. Never just "rinse out" your parts!

I had one of those that i got from the 7-11 i worked at part time for a couple years and man is the dark roast good if you need a kick in the ass to get started. However after about 3 years of use it didn't like to hold coffee to much, i dropped and cracked it - thats when i got my metal 24oz :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

yeah for a while when i was working at my internship we had some imported breakfast blend that was great, i can't remember the name but it was toxic and it did make the 7-11 stuff seem weak, thats when i started the dark roast cause it was as close as i could get for free :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

The first time I had morphine I didn't feel any change so the ended up giving me demerol and toridol in very short order. I grabbed a nurses ass.....................with the hand they had just finished putting pins in :sad:
Toradol does absolutly zip for me. They gave me that krap when I was having a kidney stone after telling them it has never worked for me made me wait another hour then finally gave me something that worked. They don't use demerol down here anymore says it's an outdated drug. What seems to work best for my chest pain is dilaudid. First, time had that whoa!
I'm on so much stuff now I bet I make drug addicts look like rookies! But, it is amazing ( my pain management doc explained it to me) that other than that first time I never get high on medications. I'm not drowsy I can actually make it across the parking lot and riding is nowhere near as painful. She said that when patients where in real pain that in most people it will just attach to the pain receptors and you typically don't get the high.
I mean I was watching that show intervention and this girl is getting high off 2mg of dilaudid PO. When my heart is causing a lot of problems I take twice that much up to six times a day. I don't feel high at. and I'm like do I need an intervention?!?! So, that's why I questioned her because my greatest fear is becoming addicted to them. She also said there is a difference between dependent and addicted. Dependent is physical while addiction is usually psychological. when I get back in school I think I'd like to do a paper on it. Think it'd be very interesting.

my last week of work, i got a piece of metal in my eye. had to have it drilled out. that was f%$king freaky. anyhow, they gave me 2 vicodin, told me to take one every 6 hours. i took em both when i got home with a shot of captain, took a shower and went to bed. helped numb the pain just enough to allow me to sleep. :icon_mrgreen: the ER generally has the best pain meds. oh, and i noticed once that most pharmacy places around here, don't stock oxcy, or it's generic equivelent. :dunno_white:

okay, i'm trying an experiment to make my coffee stronger. my father-in-law gave me a couple bags of folgers classic roast ground filters. basically, coffee and filters all in one. okay, so i normally just brew 8 cups over one filter. but it seems kinda week. so today i tried to only brew 4 cups. still weak. so, for this next pot, i've placed 2 coffee/filter combos in the filter holder! :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted: making 8 cups. should be done shortly. :icon_mrgreen:

OK is there a reason you're doing this ?
Anyway watery coffee is best brewed toddy, not more grounds in less water.
Put the grounds in a mason jar right for 1 cup of coffee, boil up water the right quantity of water for that 1 cup, maybe a shade more. Then pour the boiling water in the jar, cover the jar and wrap that thing in a towel or something. Retaining heat is the name of the game here.
Then go about your work for 15 mins. Then pour that through the coffee filter (a coffee singles type filter cone holder works well for this).
Then go about the rest, cream/sugar etc. Deeper extraction is actually healthier as well. More of the good antioxidants and less of the tar and caffiene.
