If i used paint stripper on the rims can i acheive this effect or would it be easyier to just buy white rim tape and go that way?
The shop closes in about 1 hour so please post quickly :D

Looks like paint stripper to me... You could also probably just do it mechanically if you wanted... Get some sandpaper and the like and just sand off what you don't want. If you do use a chemical paint stripper, make very sure you don't get any on parts of the paint you plan on keeping.... Paint stripper is probably also very ungood for your tires...
Hey Fred, I went out and bought paint stripper + gloves and a new paint brush. Ill give it a go and when im done ill post up some pics for everyone to see :D
do whatever the dude who owned my bike before me did

Thats what im after Jrains89, ive done 1/2 of the right side of the back wheel but i ran out of the metal scraper i was using so had to run to the shop with it. So far its looking pretty good but is taking heaps of time and its toll on my right arm. haha :D ;)
PS: Nice looking bike :thumb:

do something wild. strip the entire wheel, then paint a strip on either side of the spokes. make it match your frame and color tone. wide stripes, one color either side.
or, just do like everyone else and their brother and put a red strip on your wheels ;)
Haha, i like a good custom finish just as much as the next guy but that all sounds a bit over the top for me. I was thinking of red rim tape but got over that pretty quickly. Ive stripped the back wheel and im just waiting for the paint stripper to set for the front one. Time to sacrifice my right arm one last time in the name of good looks.
I think a chrome look will go good with my black/white fairings, when its finshed im off for a quick cruise to show it off then back home, take some pics then post em here.
