Hi,
I am looking for a rear tire for a 2000 GS500E. I was going through online catalogue on cyclegear.com but can't find the size which is 130/70 52. Is there any cheap rear tires for the GS500E you would like to recommand me?
Thanks,
T
I just got in new Conti Road Attack rear tire for my 06 gs500f however I think they all use the same tire.

You rollin' on 52's? :D
I don't know where you got the "52"--the last number is meant to designate your rim's diameter, which is 17 inches. You should be looking for a 130/70 17 if you want to keep the stock size (or a 140/70 17 if you want something a little wider). Just make sure you are getting something intended as a rear tire. :thumb:
As for recommendations, I like my Avon RoadRiders. I think most who have used the site have really liked the service from AmericanMotoTire.

How cheap do you want? :icon_lol: The Roadrider 130/70V17 mentioned above is about $75 and probably the best buy right now of the major brands. The 150/70VR17 RoadAttack also mentioned is $132 now at AMT, must have just posted their new 09 prices recently. They are $70 and $115 respectively right now at my local place, last years prices.
If you want a tire about equal to the oem Excedras in my opinion at a real budget price you might want to look at the 130/70-17 Kenda K671 at AMT for $51:

Could be you saw a 62 rather than a 52 on your present tire right after the size numbers, that's the load rating index for a 130/70-17 tire.
I like my current Roadriders too but have previously tried the Kenda K657 and K671 tires as well as the RoadAttack radial.
i got my set front and rear 160/60-17 and 120/60-17 front for 165.00 after shipping. Shinko ravens
I'v got a 140-70-17 rear and 110-80-17 front both bt45 rides alot better than the kenda cruisers did!
I put Avon Roadriders on and it's a very, very noticable difference. 152 bucks no shipping for a 140 and a 110, I'll find the site but I got it from here. The slightly ltaller tire in the rear also dropped my highway RPM a few hundred, which in turn inproved my fuel economy.
