A touring or sport touring bike would be nice, but if I had to chose one it'd be a standard/naked bike. I don't frequently take hour + long trips and there are plenty of nice curvy backroads near me. Fresh air and the light handling of the GS makes it almost perfect for me.

Haha, I decided to change the question a bit just to keep things more general.
I'd imagine your riding skills might be slightly hampered after shooting yourself.

I have dualsport tires on my WR and ride it on dirt as well as on the street. So do I check naked, 'tard, dualsport, or dirtbike? :)

For sure.
For me, I don't have a favorite bike - just a favorite bike for a given purpose. That's why I'd choose the Wrecks if I had to choose just one - it's the most versatile bike I have. But I'd rather not choose.

All of the above I guess. I've not ridden too many types of bikes. I've got a Suzuki Boulevard M50 cruiser at the moment, and I LOVE this bike. Decent size, decent power, and very maneuverable. This summer I should be buying back my old 92 GS from a friend (sold it to him so he'd have a bike to learn on). Once I save a bit of money (and pay off all current debts), I'll be picking up a GSXR 750 or 1000 (mind you, I'm keeping the M50 and GS).
So really, as long as it has two wheels, I'm game.

i recommend the 750 unless you are a racer at a racetrack. I love my 750 and got it cause after riding the 600 and the 750, the 750 just has a more usable bottom end for everyday use, i rarely tach over 9k and if i am i'm speeding a lot. i have ridden one litter bike and it was just insane crazy :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
Sport bikes for me, thankz.
I'm on my 2nd R6, and I LOVE it. I tried riding my father's VStar 1100, but didn't like. I also tried riding my sister's VS800, but didn't like that either.
My favorite type of bike is anything custom. I feel that anyone with the money can go out and buy a bike but it take a real lover of motorcycles to take it apart and change things and make the bike there own. It doesnt really matter to me what you ride. I am always thinking of the "whats next" before im done with the part im doing at the time. Too me theres nothing worse then parking and the mall or anywhere else and having the same bike parked 2 spots over.
My GS and I have formed a symbiotic relationship. Even if I had a full garage, my parasympathetic nervous system would overload without it.
Perhaps one day I could wean myself toward an RG500 Gamma.
Sport-Touring for me. Heavy on the sport, light on the touring. Think Katana/YZF600R/ZZR600-ish. I'm really enjoying my ZZR600 now that I have thrown a trunk on the back. It's a good all-around bike for my purposes (daily commute and the occasional 4-hour road trip) and if it were EFI I'm pretty sure I could ride this bike for the rest of my life and be a happy guy.
As my back and arms start to wear down, I *might* graduate to an FJR/Concourse type of bike, but that's as far as I go.
