Title: Any one now much about SIM cards
Post by: scottpA_GS on March 05, 2009, 09:15:15 PM

I have an LG VU and I have downloaded EVERY program I can find.  And I can find to get my texts/SMSs off of my SIM car.

HOW> WHY?

turn on bluetooth, for both computer (assuming you have it) and on the phone. if you're suffering windows, i don't know what to use for syncing contacts/stuff-

if you're using a mac, use isync. it's painless, automagical, and easy cheese. :)

you can always mount the phone as mass storage (already covered) :)

Sooo, what do you guys think about the Vu? I'm in the process of upgrading my phone and not sure what to upgrade to. I have a nokia E62 got it for free and can't find anything similar without massive prices. Then they all want the expensive data packages. Right now I got AT&T my plan is 450 anytime, unlimited night and weekends, free mobile to mobile, 200 text and 10mb of transfer, and road side assistance. It is $53 a month! How much are you guys paying?

Sorry I couldn't help about the sim!

texts are usually on the phone not on the sim card. The sim card has like 32K or 64K of memory for phone numbers.. thats all.

Mary, stick on to that plan, just outright buy a US warrenty version unlocked phone.. in the long run you will save than trying to get a new plan.

I would say try the E61i, Its upgraded to the E62, but its the same form factor. I loved it, except it was a bit large for my hands.

So you didn't have to pay anything extra to get the vu? I mean if my plan goes up a little bit I'm Okay I just can't afford say $80 a month. I looked for unlocked phones but they are sky high around here!

Anyother AT&T phones you guys recommend. My biggest requirement it must have a good calander feature. Tons of doctors appointments to keep up with!

I'm all giddy I picked up my VU today for 28.88  :woohoo: Was going to get it last week at 49.99 but they were closed ended up in the hospital and the next week drop 20 bucks. And get this I somehow managed to keep my plan and went down $8 with two free months of the TV. I may decide to get it we will see.

You guys said there were apps. Can you throw me some links! PLEASE

Awesome, was a little disappointed that it did not come with a data cable. Seems like you cant do jack without it. I know can get one on ebay but I don't want to wait a week for ebay or pay an insane price here.
Is there away to get your music on it without the cable cause that is what I'm dying  those ring tones suck!

Thanks
Mary
