I had a weird experience today morning. As I started driving my engine sounded weird, and I was feeling as if the engine was not pulling the bike the same way it used to. I suspected that I ran out of fuel and put it on reserve. Still did not help. I felt there must be something wrong with my engine. After about 6 miles of driving all of a sudden the engine sounded fine and the power was back to normal.
I am guessing that for some reason one engine failed to start and I was running on a single engine for first few miles and then the second engine kicked in resulting in extra power (back to normal).
did anyone have a similar experience ?
In order to show that I am a newbie I am asking a silly question that did not deserve a new topic.
What is the red light in the left?

Others seem obvious but the red light can mean fuel, or oil level or coolant level. I never had to use it.
first: you have only one engine in your motorcycle. The things you are referring to are cylinders - you have two of those. :thumb:
the reason for the power loss... hmmm... check your spark plugs. one may be failing, if so replace them. They're cheap.
next: the red light on the left is VERY important!! it is OIL LEVEL light. When your oil level goes below the minimum, the light will go on. (the light stays on when the engine is not running and this is normal but should go out as soon as you start the engine)
third: there is NO coolant in our bikes. it is AIR cooled engine

Took it off of choke a little too soon?

It doesnt indicate low oil level, it indicates low oil pressure.

If you didn't turn the choke off too soon, you may have one ignition wire getting corroded at the coil end. If so, you can trim it and put it back on. Intermittent plug? Perhaps, but I think an iffy ignition wire is more likely.
My last bike had four engines, but I like two engines better! :thumb:
