Post by: servbotr6 on March 12, 2009, 05:09:13 PM
:dunno_black: I am tryin to figure out how to get another crankshaft for my bike And how to match it with with the case. The numbers on the case are m5o1-100990.  The ones on the crankshaft that fits the case are bbab and l22r. How should i go about getting another one to match.

The procedure is to obtain a replacement crank, then buy new main and big-end bearings to suit it, the cases and the rods.
The bearing sizes are determined by cross referencing the codes stamped on the rear of the cases, the crank and the rod ends with the tables quoted in the service manual. Its tricky and on the odd occasions when I have done similar things in the past I have got the dealer to double check the sizes when I have ordered them.
