So on the main page, there is a 2004 gs500 or maybe thats what it will look like. i was wondering if i could get my 2001 gs500 to look more like that concept of the 2004...i would like to replace the fairing, headlights, and the whole bit so it looks more like a ryc-rocket. I dont know much about motorcycles but i know a lot about auto mechanics and what not so im not incapable of the work. THere is most likely a name for the panels on the sides, but i wanted to get something like that too. Ive looked on the internet over and over and it just makes me mad like this!!!! :guns: :P i just needed to use that face haha. does anyone know how i can make my bike look more like a crotch-rocket?i got the money and the time, i just need the item to buy. thanks
If you can wait a bit (or more) I intend to make carbon fiber copies of the fairing and figure a bracketry system for retrofiting it onto older GSs.
You will still have to source a headlight*, windscreen*, and GSXR mirrors, but you would be much ahead of the game, because the OEM fairing pieces are likely to be both hard to get and very expensive.
* = I am going to try to convince Lockhart Philips or Zero Gravity to make their racing versions of the GS windscreen and I may make a Ducati 999 style halogen head light "buckets" for the GS.

TCP fairing (link on home page here). This gstwin member, Jeepwrangler8 says: "The fairing cost $750. This included: upper and lower fairing, all mounting brackets, both mirrors, headlight, windscreen, turn signals, instructions, and shipping and handling. Expensive, but in my eyes totally worth it!! "
I think he bought it from a UK online company and had it shipped to the USA.
Here's a bit more info:

IMO I like the look of the much lower Gimble fairing (more racer like).
However, the TCP fairing looks good with the stock seat, whereas the Gimble fairing would look funny without the aftermarket solo seat. Also, the Gimble appears to require clip-ons, but the TCP takes stock.
Do yall agree?
Yes, the Gimbel requires clip-ons. I'm not sure, but I think SM type 1 or 2 would fit in there, but I haven't even had a chance to look at it yet. It's just sitting at home waiting for me.
