Title: auxillary flashing brake electropods
Post by: efushi on March 16, 2009, 08:42:32 AM
For any of you gsers who have the electropods mentioned in the wiki that are auxillary brake lights:

Did yours flash when connected to the "try me" battery?

I installed mine and it just comes on like an auxillary brake light, but doesnt flash like in the wiki. I noticed when it was in the package and i used the "try me" button, it didnt flash, but i thought wiring it would somehow make it flash, and it still doesnt.

Did i just get  a defective batch?  or is there a switch or something? halp!  :icon_confused:

It looks like no one else has used the Electropods. But maybe you guys could answer me this with theories if anything. The unit flashes basically when turned 'on'. So maybe would adding a flasher relay to it cause it to then flash?

thanks

I have had a 50% failure rate with the Electropods flashing rear brake lights. One set on my scooter works fine but I had a second set fail in a few weeks, The price is low on them but...so is the build quality. >:(
They are a cheap version of http://hyperlites.com (http://hyperlites.com) that I now buy instead of the cheap Electropods.
