Title: This Hot already!
Post by: Toogoofy317 on March 16, 2009, 07:52:04 PM
I think we hit 86 today WTF? It's March not May! I know you guys probably hate me right now but today just snuck up on me.. Went out a slight coolness so thought for sure the gxair would be fine. Was riding all day with Dr. appointments and by three in the afternoon I was soaked. I stopped in at Wal-Mart to pick up a card for my cell . Took off my jacket and my whole shirt was like a dipped it in water. Dehydration is going to be a beyotch this year I can feel it!

LOL Mary.

You're complaining?   :tongue2:

It was 72 today, perfect weather and quite warm for the Midwest this time of year.  Tomorrow will be 75-77.  Then back into the 50s and 60s again...

I have a feeling we're going to have an early spring.

I feel you Mary, even with a mesh jacket it's going to be miserable to ride in a month or 2.

This will be my first spring, summer, etc. as I got my gs in December and yeah I'm already sweating under my jacket. It's not to bad when I'm moving but sitting at a light sucks

I guess I was expecting just the rest of this month for non perspiring riding! What was I thinking!

See that's kinda the trade off I can ride from Oct- March in relative comfort. But, then it get's hotter than Hades and almost impossible to ride in proper gear esp on I-4.

My Axxo and camel back for the Recon will now be my mandatory gear.

Buddha I thought you had flipped your lid on the Hollywood part oh we do have one but it's a hick town lol! Of course you lid has probably flipped a few hundred times so which side is right can be dependable lol.

I have a feeling we're going to have an early spring.

We can only hope, what a miserable f%$king winter.  It was so nice up here today.  Had the day off, cleaned & lubed my chain, cleaned up the bike and ended up riding all day.

Didn't it snow last year on St. Patty's day here?

Ha and I just bought 2 leather jackets, but I'm used to the heat here in Los Angeles. My old leather jackets zippers broke and it went through 3 heavy rainstorms. So now just for fun I'm gonna see how well it holds up in the washing machine. That way at least it'll get a thorough cleaning. Anyone have any tips on putting a leather jacket in the washing machine?

Leather in the washing machine?  No Way!

Use leather cleaner.  I prefer the Meguiars stuff, available at WalMart, Autozone, Napa, etc.  Works well for removing bug guts. :D

Jacket's toast, zipper is completely broken and it's already been through tons of rain so it's stiff as a board, might as well get get it clean before softening it back up by beating on it with a baseball bat.
