Title: Heh what to do
Post by: yamahonkawazuki on March 17, 2009, 08:00:11 PM
Im going for my ccw on 5 april, now i can use this weapon

or the 22 below

im equally comfortable shooting either one. BUT the walther is more accurate, im hitting about 97% withing target range with it. at 50 yards, ( qual range is 25 around here. so i know ill pass it. ill carry teh nine for a while but have the 22 as a backup, or if the nine becomes too heavy, ill just carry the taurus. anyone here recommend a decent carry gun?, will be shopping before long

1911, makes ya feel safe.  Of course a snub-nosed Taurus .45LC would do the trick too and be a good bit easier to conceal than a full framed 1911.

Well, if I owned a gun (which I don't anymore)
and carried a gun (which I don't anymore) -

I'd have a Taurus Judge.
Or an el-cheapo .38 loaded with .357 wad-cutter.  No need to pick up brass.  Just saying.

Old thread, I know. Just wondering if you picked one out after you brought it up. I'm still trying to decide where my money should go for one...
Oh, box of truth or whatever that site is looked at the judge as a defensive gun. Basically it's a novelty being able to use 410 shells in it.

I'm pretty impressed with the Glock 26.  It's small, light, accurate, reliable and relatively cheap.  (I see used ones all the time for 400-450)  I put 100rds of reloaded JHP through it today without a single F2F.  I just need to get the mag extenders so my pinky has somewhere to be.

Im looking at an xd40 for carry. wanted a jframe. BUT with my back the way it is. i had to sell my 500. i could no longer shoot it. and its HEAVY i hit 100% within target on my pt22. ( which i decided to use. but had one F2F. i removed clip. cleared bullet, got a new one. and fired. hell htat gun was sitting int hte guest house weve got here. and it had  mold problems a while back. i had to overhaul that weapon. but it was an Econ choice. 9mm ammo is 16+ walmart has the cheap shaZam! at 8.99 but sells as soon as it arrives. i got 1k rounds of remington 22lr for around the price of one box of 9mm
