Hey just wanted to thank everyone on the board helping me track down the parts to get my 1990 GS Running again. 4 months ago I had the death rattle noise coming from the engine on my commute home from work. Cracked the case and the bearings on the CB shaft were toast and had gouched my engine cases. Top part of my motor was good 150+ psi. Posted a lot trying to track down some cases, but didn't find it easy or not near socal and shipping costs were too high. But, Paul from the LA area saw my post and he had three GS part engines and wanted to get them out of his garage. Drove up payed $40 and spent the last two days in the garage. Used one of the engine cases that had a broken connecting rod, and put it together with my old engine parts which were in good condition. Miked all the bearings with plastigage to get them in spec. Running like new so far. Knock on wood. Anyways if it wasn't for this board I won't have a running motorcycle. So just like to say thanks.
P.S. P.M. if any socal GS rides are coming up, hardly see any GS's on the road where I live.

Glad to see you got your bike back together! I'm in Los Feliz, so I might be in your neighborhood... Both my GSs are down this week, but hopefully I'll be back to commuting on a GS next week... Perhaps once I get my bikes running again I'll see if anyone wants to go ride with me. I ride nearly every day to work, but almost never ride for fun...
