Title: death to KREEM
Post by: sticks on March 20, 2009, 04:53:49 PM
i had a leak in my tank, right down at the bottom corner, three little pin-head sized rust holes. searched the internet for the best ways to fix it, and came up with mixed reviews. a bunch of people had tried a million different ways, but the ones that had the best luck with rust removal AND pinhole leaks had used Kreem.  i used it, all three steps, and it definitely cleared all of the rust out. what it did NOT do, was fix the teeny, tiny, minuscule holes in the tank. how do i know? after following the directions word-for-word and sealing the entire insides of tank, i put some gas in it. which promptly leaked onto my shoe. fail.

now i'm sitting here, waiting for my JB weld to cure. should have gone with the tried-and-true to begin with, but i really needed the rust removal.  :icon_sad:

JB leaked on mine. I had to weld it, but on top of that I did POR15.
Sealed up tight.
Cool.
