Title: yay!!! more 2-stroke problems

ok so its not a gs but i need help and i can always count on you guys for good advice. its a 91 rt180 2stroke. it starts but revs uncontrolably as soon as i start it. i thought carb...so i rebuilt it....i thought reeds.....replaced them......so now what??? im thinkin crank seal? how do i check/fix it????? anything will help im clueless.....and thanks in advance guys

uncontrollable revving means you have an air leak SOMEWHERE in your motor.  look at your base gasket, crank seals, and intake boot.    I hate 2 stroke anything because they're so tough to keep running reliably.

Yeah, vacuum leak.  Carb won't do that.  Carb will either make the bike run well, crappy, or not at all.  Unsteady revs is vacuum.

Get it running and, assuming its possible, spray some neat 2St oil or WD40 around the seals. Smoke and/or rough running as a result = a failed seal.
