if i remember rightly the pipe coming where my thumb is,is a vacuum going to the air box i think,(havent looked yet,but pretty sure it did)
my question is- as you can see there has been a screw inserted into a piece of pipe on the left side carburetor, looking at the diagrams on alpha sports website it appers that this spout (left side carb) just gets capped off.
if this is the case, how does this not un-ballance the carbs? when one has a vacuum and the other not?

can't see your pics....but fuel and hose routing is on the wiki......
Yeah, check the wiki. I can't look at his pic either and I have an account on the UK site. Says I don't have privilege to see it.. asshat admin has the site locked-down tight. I stopped using that site last year. This site blows it away! :woohoo:
I know they have Haynes manuals in England.
If you have a pre-2001 model you can look here:

Hi Ant,
It's my understanding that vacuum originates on the engine side through the intake manifold attached to the head. Capping off the vacuum line will only prevent a vacuum leak. So unless there's a vacuum leak at a port on the carbs, both carbs should be operating properly if synched. Just my .02 cents
thanks for your reply's/answeres guys, very much appreciated :),it certainly seems the case that the vacuum on the left inlet just gets capped off,i have ordered the cap for it (needed alot of gear aswell).
i just dont understand how there can be a vacuum on one carb and not the other :dunno_white:.but im guessing Suzuki no a little more about their bikes than i do :cookoo:
You're not telling us what model year you have, but since you're complaining about one vacuum cap on the left and none on the right, you have a 2001 or later model. There is a vacuum cap on the top of the left carb, and on the right carb you take the vacuum hose off. Those are the two points you would use for synching the carbs.
thanks,i did medntion that the bike is a k2=year 2002
