So I outgrew my '06 GS now that my girl rides on it with me. Between my being 6'5" already, and then adding a second person, it was just too small and cramped. Plenty of power...just not enough size.
Today I made a deal to trade it in on an '08 M50. I get to pick her up tomorrow.

Congrats bro.
Oh, yeah, I forgot the best part...
2008 model, mint condition, < 8k miles.....for $4,800.
:woohoo:
it looks as tho your new bike has a wider front tire the the stock rear gs tire....lol... :thumb:
ENJOY! Dont forget to keep the rubber side down! :icon_razz:

they are actually 805CC if i remember correctly...
awesome bike - i had a C50 for a few years and absolutly loved it.
BUT to make that bike right, you need a K&N air filter, a dobeck performance TFI box (or a power commander if you feel like spending twice the money for no added benefiet) and vance and hines straightshots exhaust. do that and it will run like you wont believe.
Yea nice bike well done. I am also pondering over either the M50 or the M90
OH, I'm diggin that bike and I'm not a cruiser girl! Love the black and yellow bit! Are you going to get a different passenger seat that doesn't look too comfy. I've ridden on the back of a Shadow a few times (how I got addicted to riding) and if it is like that then it's purty sweet!
Have a blast!

Yeah you are probably right i just converted 50 ci directly to its cc number with a calc. I know that the engine probably isn't exactly 50 ci and probably a little under
Mary, the seat seems to fit her pretty well. It has a backrest installed, and she said it was real comfy when she sat on it at the shop.
Just got back from picking it up during the break in the rain.
Initial observations:
The extra 200 pounds is VERY nice in regards to stability in 25 mph crosswinds on the bridges. MUCH easier to control.
The windscreen has got to go. It's ugly, and it makes it feel SO slow when there's no wind on your face. Hot, too...I was sweating sitting behind that thing with no air moving.
Much more comfortable for sitting, but my shoulders are going to have to get used to having my arms straight out instead of down.
Pulls VERY well.
Sounds awesome.
Gets A LOT more envious stares from passing cages than the GS did.
Love the fuel injection.
Having a fuel gauge is always a plus.
Hazard flashers, passing indicator, super loud horn...all the things I never knew were available on a bike.
Lots and lots of chrome.
I miss having a tach, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
Yellow = AWESOME (seriously, it's my second-favorite color for motorcycle, right behind burnt orange)
Not as zippy around town and in traffic, but I wasn't expecting it to be.
Not as "FUN" to ride as a sportbike, but I think I'll be more inclined to ride it more since it fits me so much better.
Oh snap! :o Did my ex-headlight just get traded in towards a cruiser!?
Haha...yeah.
Blame my fiancee. I didn't know how little the GS was until she decided that she wanted to be on the back of it.
You know, had I been thinking about it, I would've put the POS lamp back on the GS and kept the good one I got from you as a spare for this new bike.
ROUND LIGHTS FOR LIFE!!!
Haha! Well....at least it is one badass lookin' cruiser! :thumb: I'd do a lot of naughty things with that bike... :tongue2:
