Title: Yet another tar question

It's that time... I got 10k miles out of the OEM Bridgestone rear, the front's still got loads of life left, so I'm just gonna replace the rear.  I do mostly highway riding and need a tire that will provide long life and good grip.  Based on the input from others, it's either going to be the Bridgestone BT45 again or the Avon Roadrider.  Similarly priced, but are they equals?  And, would it be a problem mixing the two (BT45 front... till it wears out)?

I'd appreciate your input...

Thanks,

I currently have michelin pilot activ up front and irc rx-01 on the rear , no problem mixing up as long as they are both bias ply tires( which they are )

In recent reviews Avon Roadrider came up top in comparison :

I'll cast my vote for the Avon Roadrider. I got 14,400 out of the rear, and the front is at 18,800 and counting.

Cool beans!  Thanks, I was a little worried about mix'n'match... I'll go for the Avon's and do the front when the BT finally wears out.

Thanks!
